2026 Scholarship
Announcing the Second Annual SEUT Scholarship!
We are thrilled to launch the second annual scholarship opportunity from Students for Ethical Use of Technology (SEUT).
We are awarding a $2,000 scholarship to the top applicant who demonstrates exceptional dedication to technology ethics.
What's at Stake?
Top Award: A $2,000 scholarship for college education (issued directly to the winning student).
Top 3 Applicants: Will receive an exclusive invitation to join SEUT as a Student Board Member.
Your Challenge: Promote Ethical Tech
Last year, we received over 600 applications from across the country. This year, we invite you to share your passion and plans!
Your application must include the following two components:
30-Second Video Pitch: Why does the ethical use of technology matter to you? (A direct link to your video is required.)
Content: Demonstrate what you are currently doing or plan to do to promote technology ethics. Choose one of the following formats:
Written Essay: Maximum 500 words.
Slide Presentation: Maximum 10 slides.
Video (e.g., Reel/Tiktok style) or Audio (Podcast style): Maximum 3 minutes.
Application Requirements
Please ensure your submission includes:
Your full name, high school, current class, and location (city/state).
Link to your 30-second video pitch.
Link to your Content Creation piece.

Key Dates & Eligibility
Eligibility: Must be a currently enrolled high school student in the United States.
Application Opens: January 15, 2026
Application Closes: March 31, 2026
Important Notes
Final Selection: The top 5 finalists will participate in a 30-minute video interview with the SEUT Board.
SEUT Membership (Free): By applying, you will be joining our free membership community. You can opt out any time
Use of Submissions: You may choose to grant consent during the application process for SEUT to share your submitted materials, with proper accreditation as the author.
AI Trends in Schools
Join us to explore the latest trends in how AI is impacting students at school. We will be joined by educators and students in this lively discussion.

SEUT Member Launch Event
We are excited to welcome you to our launch event on October 29th, 8pm ET. This online event will feature Princeton University Professor and leader of its Integrated Ethics for Computer Science program, Dr. Steven Kelts, and Dr. Sowmya Rajan, a public health and analytics leader with experience in Duke University and the Gates Foundation.
